Owendo Gas-Fired Power Plant, Gabon

  • Build a 125 MW gas-fired thermal power plant through an independent power producer (IPP) model at the industrial site of Owendo, close to Libreville, Gabon’s capital
  • The plant will be equipped with 12 engine and alternator groups
  • The plant will produce 850 GWh a year, which will be supplied to Société d’Energie et d’Eau du Gabon (SEEG), the Gabonese utility, under a 15-year power purchase agreement
  • It will supply 52% of Libreville's electricity needs or about 600,00 people
  • The plant's lifespan is estimated at a minimum of 25 years
