The Port Authority of Dakar (PAD) is set to embark on the ambitious Ndayane port project in Senegal. Phase 1 will witness the development of a cutting-edge container terminal, featuring an 840-meter quay and a newly constructed 5-kilometer marine channel. This channel is strategically designed to accommodate 366-meter vessels, showcasing the capability to handle the largest container vessels globally. Phase 2 of the project will extend the container quay by an additional 410 meters, accompanied by further dredging of the marine channel, enhancing its capacity to accommodate 400-meter vessels, marking a significant leap in the port's capabilities and infrastructure.
