Project Pipeline

The Urban Resilience and Solid Waste Management Project in Côte d'Ivoire is a comprehensive initiative, primarily targeting the city of Abidjan and selected secondary cities, to address flood risks and modernize solid waste management systems. 

• Drainage Systems: Construction and rehabilitation of primary and secondary urban drainage networks to reduce flood risk in vulnerable neighborhoods. This includes associated roadworks and nature-based solutions to combat erosion and manage stormwater.
• Structural and Non-Structural Measures: The project integrates both physical infrastructure (e.g., drainage channels, retention basins) and non-structural interventions such as urban planning, revegetation, and early warning systems.
• Nature-Based Solutions: Incorporation of green infrastructure to complement traditional drainage, aiming to enhance resilience to climate change and reduce erosion.
