Project Pipeline

The Climate Resilience and Water Security in Angola project, also referred to as RECLIMA, is an initiative aimed at addressing climate-related challenges and ensuring sustainable water management in Angola. 

• Sand Dams Construction: The project involves the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the construction of 10 sand dams. These dams are designed to enhance water storage capacity and resilience against climate variability.
• Integrated Water Storage Systems: Investments focus on three types of water storage—watershed storage, groundwater storage, and surface water reservoirs. This combination aims to improve water security and climate resilience in southern Angola.
• Dam Rehabilitation: Specific infrastructure rehabilitation includes restoring the Sendi dam, which is crucial for supporting farmers and livestock owners, as well as boosting economic potential in affected areas.
