The Ministry of Health is set to undergo the redevelopment of Ruhengeri Referral Hospital in Musanze town, Rwanda. The renovation project is geared towards increasing the hospital's capacity from 320 beds to 550. The plan includes the replacement of all current buildings, excluding the laboratory. Furthermore, the initiative will bring in new services, incorporating intensive care and advanced diagnostic facilities like CT scanners, MRI, and electrocardiograms. The overarching objective is to reduce the need for patients to journey to the capital for medical treatment.
