Project Pipeline

The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, through the Ministry of Transport, Communication Channels, and Access to Landlocked Countries (MTVCD), has launched an international call for expressions of interest (ECI) to identify and preselect technical, industrial and financial partners for the design, financing, construction, equipment, operation and maintenance of a national train, locomotive and wagon assembly and assembly plant

Two strategic sites have been selected for this project: Matadi (Kongo Central) and Kalemie (Tanganyika)

This project is part of the national strategy to revive and modernise the railway sector, in line with the industrialisation and regional integration policy promoted by the government
