The Madagascar Road Sector Sustainability Project aims to significantly enhance the longevity, safety, and climate resiliency of key paved primary roads across Madagascar.
The initiative covers multiple national roads, including RN2, RN4, RN5, RN6, RN7, and others, enhancing connectivity while also supporting emergency recovery infrastructure impacted by natural disasters.
Additionally, the project integrates technical assistance to bolster sector reforms, optimize road maintenance financing, and implement innovative contracting modalities that promote sustainable roadworks and employment opportunities. This comprehensive approach aims to support Madagascar’s inclusive growth, reduce fragility in transport infrastructure, and ultimately improve access to economic activities across urban and rural areas of the country.
