The Sustainable Cities and Land Project aims to enhance climate-resilient urban infrastructure and improve land administration services in Cameroon's key urban areas, directly impacting an estimated 2.1 million people.
The project adopts a multi-sectoral and integrated approach to address Cameroon's rapid urbanization challenges by building transformative infrastructure—especially in cities like Yaounde and Douala—and strengthening the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of land management systems. Its core objectives are to alleviate bottlenecks that hinder sustainable urban growth, support job creation and socio-economic development, and reinforce the capacity of institutions and professionals involved in urban development and land administration, thus contributing to Cameroon’s long-term national development strategy.
