The N’Djamena Urban Resilience Project aims to strengthen climate resilience and reduce flood risks in Chad’s capital city. The project focuses on constructing and rehabilitating key drainage and flood protection infrastructure, improving solid waste and water management systems, and supporting resilient urban planning and community-based adaptation initiatives. It also provides technical assistance to municipal and national authorities to improve disaster preparedness, environmental management, and long-term city planning.
The project covers both physical works, such as dredging, channel reinforcement, and drainage networks, as well as institutional capacity-building to ensure sustainability.
