The Guinea Natural Resources, Mining and Environmental Management Project is designed to strengthen Guinea’s institutional capacity to manage its mineral and natural resources in an integrated, sustainable, and transparent manner. The project focuses on enhancing policy, regulatory, and coordination frameworks, improving mining sector governance, promoting local economic inclusion, and reinforcing environmental and social (E&S) management systems. Activities include modernizing the mining cadastre, boosting monitoring and enforcement capacity, improving the management of protected areas, integrating biodiversity conservation into development planning, and building resilience against climate change impacts.
