Development of Solar Power Plants and Improvement of Access to Electricity (RANAA), Niger

The Niger Solar Plant Development and Electricity Access Improvement Project (RANAA) aims to expand access to electricity and increasing renewable energy capacity in Niger.

  • The construction of three solar power plants in the Maradi, Dosso, and Diffa regions with a combined generation capacity of 40 MW.
  • The extension of 2,600 km of new transmission lines to improve grid connectivity, linking southern cities and the capital, Niamey.
