The Mano River Union Road Development and Transport Facilitation Programme Phase 4 is an infrastructure initiative that targets the improvement of cross-border transport infrastructure in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
The project in Sierra Leone is centered in the Kailahun district, located in the eastern part of the country, and aims to improve road links to neighboring Liberia and Guinea. The works include upgrading approximately 39 km of roads in Sierra Leone to a bitumen standard. It also encompasses the rehabilitation of cross-border infrastructure, the development of socio-economic facilities, and support for women and youth associations to promote private enterprise
