Ethiopian Railways Corporation
The Ethiopian Railways Corporation (ERC) was founded on November 20, 2007, through Regulation 141/2007 issued by the Council of Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The regulation assigns ERC the responsibility of advancing railway infrastructure and delivering passenger and freight rail transport services across Ethiopia. A primary objective of ERC is to construct an integrated and high-capacity railway transport network, ensuring competitive and accessible transportation options.
