The Road Development Agency (RDA) of Zambia commenced operations in 2006. Its statutory mandate encompasses the care, maintenance, and construction of public roads, along with the regulation of maximum permissible weights for vehicles using these roads.
RDA is steadfast in its commitment to overseeing the completion of pivotal infrastructure projects such as Link Zambia 8000, Pave Zambia 200, Improved Rural Connectivity Project (IRCP), and the National Road Tolling Programme (NRTP). These initiatives are central to its Strategic Plan, reflecting a focused approach and renewed determination to propel Zambia towards becoming a well-connected land-linked nation.
