The Ministry of Infrastructure and Land Transport (Ministère des Infrastructures et des Transports Terrestres) is the central government authority responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of Chad’s road and transport infrastructure. Its mandate covers national highways, rural access roads, and land transport systems that connect Chad to neighbouring countries.
The ministry leads the planning and implementation of major infrastructure projects, including regional transport corridors, and works to improve mobility, trade facilitation, and national integration. It operates through specialized departments such as the Directorate of Roads and Bridges (Direction des Routes et des Ponts).
